The Typehouse – print and web design services
typesetting & design
web design & development
Welcome to The Typehouse, part of The Art of Music group.
Please note that this site is under development. Although much of the content refers to pages on The Art of Music website, work undertaken by The Typehouse is given the same attention to detail that brings our customers back time after time.

Typesetting and design
We have typeset and provided InDesign™ templates for book production for Ashgate Publishing,
The Royal School of Church Music and The University of Wales Press.
We have many years' experience of designing publicity leaflets and stationery for a range of clients.
Some comments about our work
- "that looks great – thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job"
"everyone is delighted with the leaflets – thank you so much." (Corbridge leaflet) - "Thanks again for doing such a good job with the leaflets, they look great" (Goldberg Ensemble)
- "Very many thanks. They look great." (Ludlow organ recital leaflets)
- "my warmest thanks go to Mr Alistair Warwick of The Art of Music, who has designed and typeset this book with characteristic expertise and great good humour, tolerating my last-minute requests for revisions and additions" (Sally Harper: Music in Welsh Culture Before 1650)
Music typesetting
Music typesetting services may be obtained through The Art of Music – which has nearly 20 years' experience of providing high quality scores for publication both as separate items and as parts of larger projects.
Web design, management and development
One of our key issues in web development is coding to web standards to enable usability and accessibility.
Clients include:
- The Royal School of Church Music
- Elaine Hill Photography
- Rosemount Guesthouse, Kippford, Galloway
- The Plainsong and Medieval Music Society
- The Early English Organ Project
Focussing on our strengths for 2008 and beyond
Until 2007 our typesetting and website work has been part of The Art of Music portfolio.
However, as this was getting too broad and unwieldy we are now focussing our print and web services under The Typehouse label, reserving music engraving/typesetting and music publications to The Art of Music. The same attention to detail is guaranteed.
Alistair Warwick's performance (music director and organist) and research interests are in the process of being moved to alistairwarwick.com.
All three websites are currently under development by The Typehouse.
